May 1, 2017 skipperandflipper

4/29/2017 Well Providencia proved to be just as wonderful as I was anticipating! Max rowed to shore at 2pm on Sunday and by 3:30 we were all allowed to head ashore. Quickly packing our backpacks with sunscreen, water, and some money we all 4 carefully climbed into the dinghy while Kyle rowed us to shore.… Continue reading Exploring Providencia!

Isle Santanille, Honduras to Providencia, Columbia!

April 30, 2017 skipperandflipper

4/23/2017What a different passage this one was compared to our first two! Despite a couple thunderstorms within the first 3 hours of leaving Swan Island, the entire 280 mile passage was calm, little to no wind, and almost flat seas. Because of these conditions no one was sick, I was not scared, and I was… Continue reading Isle Santanille, Honduras to Providencia, Columbia!

4/19/2017  The sun is setting off our starboard stern quarter, the sky exploding into an array of pastel colors. The small island of Isle Santanille (aka Swan island) is in front of us and the white beaches are reflecting the setting sun. Max is cooking lentil stew for dinner which is causing the boat to… Continue reading Isla Mujeres, Mexico to Isle Santanille, Honduras

Mark is down below resting before he takes the helm from Kyle… Continue reading Florida to Isla Mujeres

12/13/2016 After leaving the Firestation on Monday morning we headed back down towards the Gulf to see if the paved bike path picked back up. And that it did! Excitedly we hopped back on the paved path and again spent our entire day within 25ft of the beach. Also we had an amazing surprise of… Continue reading Gulf Pedaling and a Wet Ferry Ride
